Brick Lane

Earlier this week as a class we traveled to Brick Lane. Brick Lane is known for its culture and diversity and that can be seen through the various art and signs on the streets. The graffiti on this wall in the photo above has accumulated over the years. This caught my eye because of the bright assortment of colors and the quirkiness of the characters. Street art seems to be a popular form of expression in London, an example of a popular artist is Banksy.
The street art in Brick Lane is astonishing. In the photo above, the detail and effort put into this mural is astonishing. I like the idea of large murals occupying the streets and adding to the character of Brick Lane.
